Solved how do I turn off the legal notice for syspre auto logon

June 20, 2012 at 08:01:50
Specs: Windows 7
I am trying to do finish up my sysprep using the answer file process. Auto log on is enabled but isn't working because of the legal notice. When I create a clone of machine and starts everything works except the auto logon which I need to run 3 programs prior to user logging on. The problem is I don't know where to place the script that turns this off prior to the auto log on. Can I place it the answer file? If so where? Again, I need the script to run prior to the auto logon in the answer file.

Which version of Windows 7 are you deploying the script on? If it is Professional or higher, you can use gpedit to load startup scripts. Open it by:
1. Press Windows Logo Key + R, opens the Run dialog box.
2. Enter in gpedit.msc
3. When it loads, expand Windows Settings under Computer Configuration, then click Scripts (Startup/Shutdown).
4. Double-click Startup.
5. Click the Add button for as many scripts as you want to run on Startup.

The scripts you specify will load before the user logs on. You will have to repeat the above for each target machine.
