Lots of extra trouble with no gain. Why not just view them from the DVD?

When you insert the DVD into the DVD drive if the videos do not automatically start you can go to the icon for the drive in Computer and double click the disk label name there to start.

Ripping the files to your hard drive will not make it any easier to view them.

Othehill is right, it is quite a bit of hassle and takes up a fair bit of hard drive space too.

If I may however, I would like to further the original question: Is there a good dvd ripper we could get for free? So far I've only found trials to programs like Alcohol, or they have a limit at around 700 mb.

Guess you could install dd for windows and then make a clone of the disk. An ISO program may or may not work. Then you'd need a virtual cd/dvd drive to mount the file.

Might look at the disk too. Some programs like VLC and others will rip the disk to some format that you could easily use.

Why did it take me over a year to phone in a problem to ATT?

Yes, VLC is very good for videos. In a lot of cases you can simply copy the video files from the cd onto your hard drive and run them with VLC.

I didn't know VLC did ripping too though, so thanks =)
