how do i restore my laptop to factory settings

Specs: Windows 7
my toshiba satellite pro laptop keeps freezing and running slow and some files are missing so want to restore back to factory settings.

how do i do this without a disc

please help

On many you hold down the Zero key while turned off, turn on with zero key still depressed for a few seconds and it should begin the recovery partition if you have one.

To err is human but to really screw things up, you need a computer!

Warning: If you have not yet, save all of your important files to another drive or external drive since a factory restore will wipe your hard drive and return it completely to the way it was shipped and anything you had on it will be lost. Also any programs and updates will need to be reinstalled after the restore is complete.

There may be other ways to resolve your problems if you describe them in more details, but it is possible that a factory restore will be your best solution (as in a root infection, I just do not give up so easily).

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
