Am trying to remove internet explorer 7 from Win 7 but I can't find it in programs under ctrl panal?
It just hangs & I have to restart it again when browsing. Any help appreciated?
PS: Don't want IE 8 at all.
I do not believe you can actually completely remove it in Windows 7, though you can rebuild it. You really do not want to completely remove it since Windows update will not run on Firefox or other popular browsers. Use the rebuild feature to try to fix it, then delete the desktop icon so you will not have to look at it, If you ever need it, you can always look into 'All Programs' and find it. I generally use Firefox exclusively, but there are times when it comes in handy. You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
This site is about helping people, lets keep it that way.
Go to Programs and Features in Control Panel Click Add-Remove Windows Features
Untick IE8, click Apply and restart Windows.
This does not remove it from your Windows installation because Windows depends on it, but it does what you may want to do.
