how do I remove iexplore.exe????

when on line a box keeps popping up saying internet explorer has stopped working........

Might consider doing a restore point to a time when it worked. See help and support center for restore point.

Why did it take me over a year to phone in a problem to ATT?

Firstly, disable all add-ons like yahoo and google toolbars. If doesn't help then try to re-install it. Malware is also a possibility. Scan it with malwarebytes or Security Task Manager

iexplore in task manager is Internet Explorer, except that some nasties (infections) have been known to mask themselves in task manager as iexplore (I ran into ine a number of years ago). As above, scan with Malwarebytes to see if something got past your antivirus program. If it doesn't help, the system restore is probably your next step.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
If all else fails, read instructions.
