how do I prevent a large file from timing out

February 5, 2011 at 13:32:42
Specs: Windows 7
I have high speed internet, but it is not fast enough to view a video with smoothviewing. I am trying to download an audio file that is only 28MB, but it always times out after about 7 minutes. The file says it needs 18 minutes to download. It is downloading at about 29 KB a second. Is there a way to prevent it from timing out? I have my computer set to never close down and my screen to always say open.

If you are using IE, try Firefox. If it then downloads you will know it is an IE problem.

Sorry, I must learn to realise that normal people don't spend their whole lives on computers LOL.

Make sure you get it from the official website, here:
