How do I know if its the circuit board?

Specs: Windows 7
My computer wont let me log in. i try to spell out the password and it wont take it. the letters i type wont type the right letter. It was workin 2 days ago and when i shut it off it was being weird it wouldn't let me click on anything so i shut it off and now it wont let me log in? what is wrong and how do i fix it?

The first step is to try an external keyboard. No - sorry - the first step is to make sure that you don't have the Num-Lock key on.

Is there any pattern to the wrong letters being typed or is it just totally random?

nope num lock not on...and the keys are random.

start in safe mode and make sure you have the right keyboard setup, or try the windows on screen keyboard

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....

i tried and now it wont except my password cuz a friend took off the password and its havin a hard tim bootin its self
