April 16, 2019 at 23:51:12
Specs: Windows 7Home Premium SP1, 64bit 1300Mhzm 2core/4.00GB
I can't use easy transfer cause I'm logged in using temporary profile. I've spent hours trying to resolve this but to no avail. I'm the only user on my pc so I don't know how/why this temporary profile came about. Any help greatly appreciated.

The easiest way would be to take the drive out of the Windows 7 machine and plug in to the new machine, providing you have a spare SATA and power connectors. Alternatively use a hard drive dock (available on amazon etc) to plug it in via USB. Then go to

C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\......

Documents
Downloads
Desktop
etc

find and copy your files. Note you will NOT be able to move any installed applications, you can only copy your data..

THIS IS MY RESPONSE FOR 2 ANSWERS TO QUESTION I POSTED. (Not sure if I posted it in right place).
So sorry for delayed response but all email from you guys were in spam folder. I fixed that just now before coming to this site.
I want yaw'll to know I don't know about drives, SATA or docks or anything about what makes a computer work. I'm 69 years old & never touched a computer till late 90's. Nothing but dial up connection at that time as far as I know. I played around with it off & on for a few years & one day I realized I could do some amazing things on that machine. I couldn't stay away from it & I learned how to use a computer completely on my own & can now do everything I want or need to do & can't imagine doing without it. I spend more hours on my PC than I will admit. Unfortunately I didn't even consider learning about how they work or anything to do with the inside of a computer.
Therefore, I feel I'm not qualified to rate these answers. I think #1 (AlwaysWillingToLearn) has a wonderful solution for anyone having technical knowledge. And I thank you for taking the time to help me & for being willing to help people you don't even know. My compliments to you.

Now as for #2 (Johnw), by offering links I can click on is something I do know how to do & very likely will get my issues resolved. I thank you so much for your help. It's wonderful to know there are people in the world, like you guys. So willing to give & help others is admirable, even more so these days because so many are taking & hurting others. Again, I thank you.
