How do I get drivers back with code 28

April 10, 2011 at 09:33:47
Specs: Windows xp
I have a dell mini inspiron 10 with windows XP that I recently reinstalled and now in device manager under "other devices" tab there are 7 yellow ! with code 28:

These are them
Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus
Ethernet Controller
Network Controller
SM Bus Controller
Unknown device
Video Controller
Video Controller (VGA Compatible)

I can't connect to the internet to download drivers to fix and try to download drivers to cd and still can fix it. I thank MCAFEE for this because I had a problem and called them, I gave them remote access to have them crash my computer...now they want to charge me to fix it.

If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

Try downloading drivers onto a USB flash drive and installing them from there, it should work best that way. Get your drivers from the manufacturer's website, Dell is the only place to get the correct ones from.
Do not reinstall McAfee again, use a much better program like Avast (free version, it stays free if you register it, you have 30 days to register it). It is a much better AV program and uses system resources more carefully so your system will typically run better.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
