how do i format & restore recovery system on

Specs: Windows 7, 4 gb
i would like format my asus laptop. I would like to make a copy of the recovery system for reinstallation. How do i do that. Thanks

just format the C: drive, leave the recovery partition where it is, you do not have to touch it.
to use the recovery system you tap alt-f10 at boot.
you can make a system image with the win7 backup and restore center.
you can also request a recovery cd from asus although you will have to pay.

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....

Look in All Programs to find the location to Create Recovery Disc.
For me using HP it's All Programs - Recovery Manager.
It takes 3 or more DVD
Use the DVD's it will Format for you.

Normally to trigger the ASUS recovery partition you press the F9 key during boot. This will restore the unit to factory settings.

Once you have the system recovered there is an icon on the Start/Programs menu for Create Recovery disks, also most of the models when they are new also have a create disk Window that appears on the desktop during boot.

Most of the ASUS I service use at least 4 blank DVD disks to create the recovery kit.
