Most windows open in 'Restore Down' mode. Is there a way to disable that annoying feature?

prevo99, Follow the instructions at the link below.

How do I have an Internet Explorer 7 (IE 7) window open in the maximized position every time? This should also work for IE 8.

An easy alternative that I use is to just NOT maximize the window, but resize it to 95% of you monitor's real estate and then close it. When you open it again it will use this new preferred size. This will work with Internet explorer or nearly any window you use often, even Task Manager (I don't go that big for Task Manager, but I do make it much taller and a little wider, which works much better).

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
