How do I cut off my laptop wireless connect

March 23, 2011 at 20:33:09
Specs: Windows 7
My toshiba is a 6500 model Satellite. I can connect to my Verizon Hotspot with it connected with the usb connection but it won't connect without it. Continues to state " Failure, retry".

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software but the problem still continues. It will connect wirelessly to the in store computer. Is there a problem with this software and Windows 7?

if it will connect wirelessly to other wifi spots then there is no problem with the soft/hard ware, its just some setting, check the settings in the firewall.
if you are using usb wifi as well as the inbuilt wifi, you may be having a conflict with the software.
i would suggest removing all 3rd party wifi software and checking that the windows widi service is set to auto, then try.
if that fails reinstall your 3rd party software and set the win wifi service to disabled.

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....

This is wireless adapter configuration in Win7 example, see whether it could help. I guess most likely you did not configure the wireless adapter correctly.

Hope it helps.
