How do I change the ethernet connector

Specs: Windows 7
Ethernet connector does not work on the computer tower.

You will probably find it difficult to find the same connector and you might not be up to the careful unsoldering/soldering. Factor in the gas or shipping to get it and the risk to damaging your motherboard and you will find the very low price of a new NIC card very attractive.... Just deactivate the onboard ethernet and add a new card, driver and you are done.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Did it ever work?

Run command ipconfig /all to get details about it.

Why did it take me over a year to phone in a problem to ATT?

First you must determine if the on board network adapter is bad. If it is faulty by far the easiest solution is a new card. Do not attempt to replace the connector, if that is actually the problem. Even for someone with the necessary skills this is a far from simple matter.
