Are you asking how to change the boot order from your old hard drive to the new one? If you so, all you need to do is go into the BIOS and select the new hard drive as the first bootable device.

I think diskpart does it now.

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.

Normally you use a utility to clone the hard drive to the new one, shut down and swap out the drives and it will boot from it. The manufacturer of the new drive you purchased offers this utility FREE for download if you purchased the drive without a software disk. This is what I would recommend. If the new drive is larger than the older one you may end up with a partition of about the size of the old drive. You can use Disk Manager to either extend this partition or to use the additional unassigned space to create a new partition.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
