How do i change my windows 7 from 32bit to 64

Specs: Windows XP
i accidently turned my new computer on and not realising the first set up part to choose the bit either 32 or 64 so i turned my computer off then bak on and it was gone. only later realising it was set to 32 bit i please want to know how to change the bit from 32 to 64.

You have not supplied much details. You have not supplied make and model number. I have not heard of any installation where you can choose 32bit or 64bit at that stage, but it certainly could be possible. I assume you are talking about a brand new machine fresh out of the box so you should contact support at the manufacturer for this support under the new machine warranty for the best answer to this question (who else knows their machine best?). I assume you will probably need to do a factory restore and put the hard drive back the way it was when you opened the box, but it is for them to answer that.
