how do I change a file back to a folder

Specs: Windows 7
I have a file folder on a flash drive that has been changed to a file. How do I change it back or what program can I use to open it to get to the documents that are in the "folder"

If you are talking about a .zip file, Windows treats it as a compressed folder you can just open by right clicking then access or copy its content where you like.

If the compressed file has a different extension you need a tool as Winzip or 7Zip (freeware).

Yeah, what's the file name, including the extension?
