Please help me
I want to make my serial port COM1 operate similar to the internet. With read write and the ability to store info. From external equipment.

Yes, it can be done, but it wont be anything like the Internet. You can read and write files and store them but you cant do it via a browser. You need software that is written specifically to work with Com ports and on a Windows 7 Machine that is going to be a hard to find.

You need either a programme that has been written to do what you want or you need to sit down and write your own. How are your programming skills?

To communicate over a COM port you need a terminal emulator; once upon a time Microsoft Hyperterminal, but that program was phased out since Windows Vista. You can google for "Putty", a free open source package that performs very effectively as terminal and can run under Windows 7.
