As far as I'm concerned you can't reset your password unless there is another administrator registered on your PC who can change it. You can however wipe your hard drive and reinstall Windows, but this would mean you will lose all your personal data.

Most forums do not help with forgotten passwords because there is no way to verify that that is truly the case. Some have strict rules that prohibit this. That is the way it should be.

Under xp if you went into safe mode, you could log in as administrator or as the user, but as you forgot your user password, log in as administrator default password, unless you have been messing about with it, is blank.

Not sure about win7 so you will need to google.

A thank you would be nice, if I have helped.

The most important question here is "How do you forget a password that you use on a daily basis"?

This forum like others does not assist with password problems due to the fact that proof of ownership is a problem. You are best advised to contact the makers of your PC for help but be prepared to provide proof of ownership.
