How can I make Epson SX200 printer work again

January 28, 2011 at 09:18:57
Specs: Windows 7
I have an Epsom SX200 printer which stopped working at the end of a page while printing. I assumed one of the four inks was finished and replaced all of them, making sure they were pushed down thoroughly (have now opened and closed the inks three times to ensure they are in place). (I didn't know how to find out the ink levels as they were coming up blank on the screen of my laptop). Now the "On "light on the printer is flashing green and the orange light in the shape of a teardrop is permanently on despite my above attempts to ensure the new ink catridges are in place. The booklet says that when the orange light is on, one or more catriges ae expended and should be replaced. I still cannot get the printer to print while these lights are on. Can you help.

Printer has probably died.

Thank you for replying Steve. Unfortunately I have just put £30's worth of new ink into it. I agree with you that the printer must have died and have now bought a new Kodak printer which I understand doesn't cost so much for ink. Of course, the Epsom's ink doesn't fit the new printer. Thank you again for confirming my worst thoughts.
