How can i get my @ mail symbol on a Dell latitude e4300

Specs: Windows XP
Having difficulty writing my email address as i cannot seem to get the @ key to function as it should and i'm guessing there is a sequence of keys to use to get this symbol ? Thanks in advance , and it's a QWERTY keyboard

Have you checked the language, region, keyboard layout etc options? On different layouts for different countries some items move about. Although the alphabet and numbers don't change position on UK and N.Am. keyboards, other symbols do; and I seem to recall the @ sign is one of those that moves accordingly from one position on a UK layout to elsewhere on the N. American layout.

If it was ok earlier, it's quite possible the layout has changed; either the consequence of a recent windows update, or even malware...

Yeah @ is shift 2 on the US keyboard. Under other circumstances do both the shift and 2 keys work separately? If not it's likely a keyboard problem. For now you can try using window's on-screen keyboard:

TYVM I will check these two suggestions straight away, and the on-screen keyboard will be a huge help until i can resolve the problem thanks again .
