I was wondering about those China manufacturers that sell netbooks with windows c 6.0 installed on it, do they have permission from Microsoft to have installed windows on their products, i don't believe so. Also is it really windows or is it something imitating windows?
Please share your knowledge cause i am not willing to buy not-legal stuff

Why would Microsoft not sell Windows to Chinese manufacturers?

Gone are the cold war days where the USA restricted international computer sales of anything but old outdated computers due the paranoid belief that if we did then 'Russia' (actually the USSR back then) would get their hands on computer technology that was capable of accurately aiming an ICBM at us half way around the world. The 'Commies' are basically gone, the Nation of Russia is not really an enemy any longer. While China still is BASICALLY Communist in their own way, they are NOT fighting wars with us today through third countries like Korea or Vietnam. There is no reason they cannot purchase Windows operating systems for sale in the USA or internationally, in fact they can purchase it in Chinese and many other languages as well. If they could not, Linux, a free download, being a Uninx based Operating system would be better for aiming missiles anyway.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

OEM's like CE because of the price MS offers it at. In large numbers it may only cost a dollar to two each or maybe less.

But, theft is a global business. It could be that some are stolen copies. China seems to be one of the bigger offenders.
