It could be the monitor or the video card. Do you have integrated video or a discrete video card?

1st try a different monitor.
2nd, reseat your video card
3rd, try a different video card
4th, take the fan off the video card and put new thermal paste on.
it sounds to me as if your card maybe damaged to a degree, and only when it warms up are the connections finally good, if the 1st 4 steps fail, take out the card, take off the cooling, and run a heat gun along the card for a while, this may just soften the solders and recreate correct connections again, of course if its still under warranty you can contact the manufacturer and get it replaced..

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....

If the card is to blame & it's OOW & you don't have heat gun ... you could "bake" it in the oven before you replace it & see if that helps.

Have you installed any program for editing videos orimages?
have you downloaded and program to watch videos?
did you try to update the driver for your video card?
did you try to run your computer in safe mode and see if it happens again?
