Canon MP830 that's hardwired to the server pc was detected and drivers installed in client pc that's hardwired to the router but when selecting "maintenance" and "view printer status" in the properties menu, it states that it is offline and won't print.

✔ Best Answer
When a printer shows off line and everything else looks Ok then there are two options that I would try next:
First, I would shut down the computer(s) (including server is practical) and the printer and restart all.
If the first does not work or if it is not practical, I would uninstall the printer on one machine at a time and reinstall it (Devices and printers). This nearly always works except where there are actual problems with the printer or wiring.

Other thoughts:
How is the printer connected? If Cat5 (etc.) you should probably set the printer as a fixed IP address.
Was the driver installed on the server as well?
Have you rechecked the printer connection and/or swapped out the cables?

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Thanks everyone for your help. I don't know a great deal about computers, just enough to be dangerous. After about 12 hours of trying to fix the problem I started to get the 0x0000052e code so I created a Windows credential and my client pc could finally see the printer. I don't know if that one thing fixed the problem or if it was a combination of things. Thanks again!
