Solved HDMI Port doesn't work after OS reset

Specs: Windows 7
Widows 7 64 bit Dell Inspron HDMI port doesn't work after OS reset. I need an HDMI driver I don't know which one to get.

What model do you have?

If you go to the Dell support area and serch out and select your model,blikely the drivers downloads area will have "all" drivers for your Dell.

Often useful (wise?) to have them saved on dvd - for a situation such as this...

I normally have all the drives but I just don't know which to install for my HDMI.

There is no such thing as an HDMI driver, that probably why you cant find one.

You need a video driver. Go to the bottom of the list from the link you supplied and select Video. Select the driver from the hardware your computer has. In you case it will most likely be the Intel HD Graphics 3000 Driver

And if you run Belarc Advisor utility (freebie download) it will generate a complete report as to what is in your laptop; and that will tell you which graphics adapter you have.

Similarly if you run msinfo32 - from Start\run and type in that command - it generates a similar report…
