Irena, Response 1 is the correct answer, just choose any of the norton tools, it doesn't matter if you know the name of your product. Just download a tool to your desktop and then run it following the instructions

Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers

I've never had any luck with Norton's "removal" tools. They always left folders and files behind. Even when they said the system was clean.

Try Revo Uninstaller. Use the deep cleaning option, (4th one down) and follow the screens. Much cleaner than what Norton provides.

I agree, new computers sometimes have all sorts of forced ware on it. It is sometimes very difficult to remove completely.

If you don't run Norton be sure you run some good antivirus software. If you use other best practices you may be able to use Microsoft's Security Essentials.

Thanks Larry. Do you use the free Revo or the pro version? Regardless, I'm aqdding it to my arsenal.
