Formatted my PC and graphics memory decreased

February 17, 2011 at 01:17:00
Specs: Windows 7, Intel pentium 4 @ 3.6ghz

I've formatted my computer yesterday, i've installed the drivers, incluiding the graphics card driver, and suddenly when I tried running Counter strike 1.6, i've changed the video mode to D3D and it began crashing, then i've checked the memory available and it only had 16mb I had 64mb before i've formatted the machine... can someone tell me what can I do?

Thank's for your time

If the video is builtin to the mainboard you should be able to allocate more system memory to it in the bios.

if this is a independant video card I suspect you had a memory chip die on it. I have never seen a video driver determine the amount of memory a video card is reporting.

Answers are only as good as the information you provide.
