Specs: Windows 7, 8gb
hi

this is a similar issue : http://www.computing.net/answers/wi...

I tried puppy linux and deleted the folder but it appears again.

Im using windows 7. Im 100% sure my computer is not infected. I have Norton Internet Security Installed.

Weird thing happening. Last time I had a folder called "parkvilla" in my desktop. I permanently deleted that folder from my desktop, but everytime i restart my computer, that folder is being auto created after startup. Its empty but auto created everytime when i restart my PC. any idea. Again im telling im aware of viruses such as NewFolder.exe etc. This is not that. this is a legit folder and my PC is not infected. I also checked my startup folder. There is nothing specious.

Any help?

Sam

✔ Best Answer
Search the registry for parkvilla. Delete it there. Use F3 to find all instances, of it.

My guess would be that you are causing this to happen.

Googling for parkvilla shows a number of hits. The one that stands out is for an Irish foolball club. Does that ring any bells?

If you type msconfig in the Run box do you see it there in the Startup tab?

If so you could un-check it there. As already said, it could be due to a registry entry but unless you are happy in there it is best avoided.

Unfortunately Norton AV doesn't mean you are not infected...it doesn't matter which AV you use, there is still a chance of getting infected.
Try Trojan remover:

Malwarebytes:

and Hitman Pro:

and fix all they find...you may be surprised at what they find...
