Focus goes to the wrong monitor

How do I run two separate videos on one computer?

This is about running both sound and video projections from the booth in a theater company.

We need to run a sound cueing program while projecting an image simultaneously using the same pc. The computer is fairly newly built and I am confident it has enough power, ram, etc. to do this.

The projections works great via the dvi output - no monitor is needed to run the projection software - and it displays on a large screen upstage. The sound cueing program also works great and displays via the vga output on the same pc on a monitor in the booth.

However, when I activate any new sound cue while a projection is running, the projection shows the sound cue program instead continuing with the projection. (Not a great idea during a performance!)

I have fiddles with the display settings to no avail. I think I need to put a second video card in the pc to solve this problem.

I would be most grateful for any opinions shared by the community.

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.
