Solved Floppy pictures have double and triple numbers PLus

Specs: Windows 7, 2.7 ghz 6.00
I sure hope this problem is much easier to solve than the previous.

I use a floppy disk for pictures. I took a few, checked them and there are duplicates and more but not with JPG after them.

Normally, for example: MVC-219S.JPG but added next to it/them is MVC-219S.4ll
I want the JPG and not the 4ll that appears in duplicate and quadruple. How can I prevent this from happening without deleting every one with the 411 and leaving only the JPG's?
--------------------------------------------
Not sure it's permissible to ask two questions each with a different problem but if so.........

Many times at the bottom of the screen is a long strip and it reads: " Computer is not responding due to a long running script" How can I stop this from happening? Thanks!

"Computer is not responding due to a long running script"
I shall tackle this first.

Download OTL, save & run from your Desktop. If your default download location is not the Desktop, drag it out of it's location onto the Desktop.
http://oldtimer.geekstogo.com/OTL.exe
http://www.itxassociates.com/OT-Too...
Double click the OTL icon to start the tool. (Note: If you are running on Vista or Windows 7 accept UAC alert)
1: When the window appears, underneath Output at the top, make sure Standard output is selected.
2: Select Scan all users
3: Change Drivers to All
4: Under the Extra Registry section, check Use SafeList
5: In the lower right corner, checkmark "LOP Check" and checkmark "Purity Check".
6: Click Run Scan and let the program run uninterrupted.

When the scan is complete, two text files will be created on your Desktop
OTL.Txt <- this one will be opened
Extras.txt <- this one will be minimized

The logs are large, upload them to a site of your choice or use this, give us the link in your reply please.

I think the file extension on those unknown floppy files is 411 (four one one) and not 4ll (four L L). Here's some info:

http://www.dcresource.com/forums/ar...

I think the last poster there is right--they're thumbnail images designed for whatever viewer comes with the pictures.

Being a dos person I often use command prompt to delete files. Del a:\*.411 and enter will delete all the files with a .411 extension on the disk in the a: drive. Of course you can delete multiple files in explorer too but honestly I find that confusing.

Don't forget to preorder your Hatch green chili for this fall. Many vendors ship world-wide.

Hello Johnw: I am not up on computers, such as yourself so I'd like to know how to put 'oldtimer etc' onto the Desktop. I clicked 'save and also run'. There is a pop-up...'OTL cannot be run from a temporary folder. Download it to your Desktop' Thanks
