Does it give you an error when you try to install? If so, what is the error?

You can download flash player (free) from here:

Completely uninstall Adobe Flash. When you are prompted to install it, confirm whatever is prompting you to install it is actually needed. There are a lot of crappy services that rely on Flash which web developers use, but aren't necessary to traverse and use their website.

Apologies if I don't respond to your reply immediately. I don't check this site daily, but you're welcome to PM me as a reminder.

Hi mike149,

Is it that you are getting the message to install flash even if it is already installed?
Did you restart the system after uninstalling the previous version of flash?

As rightly suggested by "Xps86", remove flash completely before installing it again. You can use RevoUninstaller to remove it. Refer to the link mentioned below:

Restart the system and install flash using the link provided by "jpag3074".

Please keep us posted with the results.

Thanks & Regards

Hi Manshu S

Many thanks. I have uninstalled it a few times in the past but never restarted after. I think the problem is solved. I am fed up of seeing the Adobe download screen and having to close Internet Explorer to install the flash player. Many thanks to you and Xps 86.
