Unlike basic graphic cards which obtain sufficient power through the expansion-slot, the Asus 7770 HD also requires an auxiliary power cable to be plugged in to it as per the installation guide.

Have you done that?

"My power supply is max output is 450w"

That statement tells us nothing about the quality of the power supply. The fact that you didn't post the make/model makes me suspect it's a low quality generic PSU rather than a decent quality name brand unit.

If it's giving some message about booting from CD then your video must be working. What's the exact message? It could be that while you were inside the case you messed something else up.

Post exact make and model of the system, video and power supply. Then look carefully to see if you unplugged something, pinched a wire, etc.
Post back details.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
