Specs: Windows 7, quad core 2.4 ghz
when i open up my firefox
the homepage opens up but this appears
A username and password are being requested by http://( my internet IP address ) The site says:
" (my router model number) "

its as if im typing in the IP address to my router in the address bar and it asks for my username password to my router

if i use firefox safemode it doesnt come up then.( it works fine)

i disabled all add ons and it still came up

if i type in my router password or i just click X or cancel i can continue browsing no problem

but if u close my firefox and open it up again, the same things happens

i tried to disable all add ons manual to see which one is causing the problem. it doesnt appear to be the add ons

or if i unplug my router and connect my cable modem directly to my computer it also works fine

even if i change my homepage if i use normal mode it the username and password window still comes up..

what could this be?

how can i disable it?

Run Malwarebytes to see if it is an infection like I suspect it may be. If you remove something that was causing the problem, you may want to change your router's password for security reasons, but write the new one down in the user manual so it you ever forget it and go looking for the default password, you will find the right one.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
