The Google Play app (the white bag icon) isn't available for Windows PCs or laptops

It's only available for Android tablets & Android smart phones since Google apps are not compatible with Windows.

On Windows you have to make your own bookmark for the Google Play store in your web browser, though there isn't really any point in doing that since nothing in the Google Play Store will work on Windows.

Why not just put a shortcut to Google Play on your desktop? Navigate to Google Play, reduce the screen size, then put your mouse over the icon in the address bar and drag it to your desktop. Or right click on the desktop, select New, Shortcut, then paste the URL into the shortcut.

Actually there is a point to putting one on your desktop. If you're logged in, you can install apps to your Android device from your computer.

THX,

So far I have only moved downloaded programs from my
Android tablet to my Windows 10 laptop, not the other way
around, and I may never want to do that, but I'm curious why
you suggest reducing the screen size. Does the Google Play
store display too big or too small for a standard Windows
screen?

Hi Jeff,

the reason I said to reduce the screen size is so that you can see the desktop and drag the icon on to it. You can maximize the screen back to normal after that.

Ah! Entirely ordinary Windows program behavior. OK!

Edit: On second thought, you meant "window" when you
said "screen". That threw me off. Still OK, though. 😝

(I never used any of the built-in smilies before. Let's see
if it works.)

You're right, I don't know why I said screen size, I meant window. It's been a brutal week at work, I'm a bit brain dead right now.
