Files missing from buffalo server

March 21, 2012 at 15:42:08
Specs: Windows 7
I am having an issue. When I import images into a software program from a buffalo Server I am having every 5- 10 files being deleted. If I look into the buffalo servers "trashbox" I see the images and a duplicate of the ones deleted.
the folder looks like this:
1001.jpg
1001.jpg (copy #1).jpg

Does the server work correctly for other tasks? Is it only this one program and that import function?

Did you map the drive to a letter?

So far it is the only program I have a problem with. I run the same program on a win2k server and never had the problem. I installed on a new win 7 computer and this problem started. I can't use mapped networked drives in this software. Only networked shares.

Odd. The normal way to use drives is to map them for use in all stubborn applications. If it is a network share you should be able to map it to a drive letter.

Well, crummy program is my guess. Import may need to be changed to simply open or such. Dunno. Contact the maker of the software.
