Free or not, Microsoft does not support WinXP to Win7 upgrade. The hard drive would have to be wiped & Win7 installed from scratch, which means you would lose all your files & programs.

Do you even know if your system is capable of running Win7? For reasonably good performance, you should have at least 2GB RAM but more would be better. You would also need a graphics card that supports DX9, plus you should confirm that drivers are available for all your devices.

Win7 ISOs are available online, but we can't tell you where or how to get them. You're going to have to figure that out for yourself.

Thanks everyone for your answers yes I do have 4gig ram and everything I think I will need I run the windows 7 upgrade adviser it said I'm good to go just can't afford anything at the moment
