June 7, 2013 at 21:39:10
Specs: Windows 7
I'll click it to open a window and it loads by my cursor but it never opens and stays windowless. It's been like this for a few days and hasn't fixed itself and I'm confused on what to do. Please Help?

This happens when you have virus in your windows.
I had this problem many times in my PC

Do a clean install of windows, this is what i do to solve this, or may be you can try scanning you PC with antivirus.but i don't think it will help.

This is the first thing I would try. Download Malwarebytes and scan for malware. You have not said which antivirus you use but there are a few good free AV programmes available and this is where I would start.

Also uninstall Chrome and re-install or install Firefox instead.

A clean install is your very last resort.

"Do a clean install of windows, this is what i do to solve this"

Poor advice & generally an indication of not knowing how to properly fix a problem.

"A clean install is your very last resort"

Exactly right.

Start by uninstalling Chrome. Then download & install CCleaner-Slim. Run the cleaner & remove everything it finds. Use the Registry scanner too - scan for issues & fix everything it finds.

As stated by Ewen, download & install Malwarebyte's Anti-malware. Update it, then run a FULL (not quick) scan.

You didn't say which anti-virus program you have (or if you even have one), but you should run a full scan with that as well. Run the scans from Safe Mode. After the cleaning & full scans, reboot, re-download Chrome, install it, then try again.
