What drive is the E drive on your system? If it is not your primary hard drive (C drive) it has to be your secondary hard drive. If it is not then you may be trying to install to a DVD drive, USB drive, etc. so make sure where you are trying to install it. You cannot install to a removable drive or optical drive.

If E is your optical drive and the source of the install disk then what do you mean by downloaded game?

If it is a download then try deleting the file, clearing out your browser history and download it again. Note that for many downloads there are mirror sites that may be closer and therefore better for the download so you can try those as well.

For a game I would recommend installing on your C drive unless it is too small or overfull already.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
