Factory Restore for Gateway NV77H23u
Setup is starting services appears on the screen for 20 min but nothing happens Factory Restore

You might get it "unstuck" by resetting the motherboard, like this:

Disconnect from domestic power supply, remove main battery, then hold power off/on button in for about 20 seconds. Re-assemble and start computer. It doesn't always help but my hope is that it might put you in a better position to repeat the restore.

mmm why the need to factory reset? And are you aware that it will, when completed, have erased all your personal files in the process; all the "stuff" you wouldn't wish to lose?

So first consider saving all that "stuff" - to external media - typically DVD at least?

Then pursue the needs to factory reset etc. There may be ways to avoid - if folks here have more information?

Fair enough reason to go that path - especially if you didn't have anything on it to preserve...

Presumably you have followed this path - as per Gateway support for you model?
