excel vba copy x number of values in a column

Specs: Windows 7
Hi, any help very much appreciated. Excel VBA. 2007, Windows 7.

Enter a numeric value in cell B10 in Sheet 1, say 20
Copy the numeric value of rows from sheet 2 (one column only) and paste in sheet 1 starting at cell B15 say.
So 20 values in column B say in sheet 2 will be copied and pasted to Sheet 1 cells B15 down.

Hope that makes sense!

Vern

You would be better off posting this in the office forum where they have more experience with office programs....

If you highlight the cells you want or the entire column on the second sheet and select copy (right click or edit menus) then you switch to the first sheet, click on B15 ONLY, and select paste (again right click or edit menus) and Excel will paste from B15 and down.

If you wanted to say fill down the value 20 from B10 to say B14, you would click first on B10 and drag down to B14, then select 'Fill Down' (its either under File or Edit menus, I forget which one).

As I said though, if you have more detailed questions about office programs, the Office Forum is best.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Thanks Fingers,

I was looking for a VBA solution because the value in B10 can vary. I am new to this site so will follow your advice and post in the office forum

Once again, thank you

You are looking to link the cells, they will be better able to advise you there.
