Excel 2007 - changing single cell widths

Specs: Windows 7
How do I change a single cell width in a column (i.e. all other cell widths remain unchanged)?

Don't think you can. Change the font or size of the font.

You can only change the entire column width. You can however merge the cell with one next to it and if that column is empty then you can make the second column any width you need to extend the first cell as needed. This may or may not be convenient depending if there are other columns next to it that you need to be close to the original column.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
