I tried to update and it said I was ready for Windows 10. I tried to update but was unsuccessful getting errors. What is the next step because Windows Update does not work. I opened Services and deleted all the files that it told me to and tried to update again. I am going to reboot and try again. any suggestions?

You said update. Do you mean Win 7 to Win 10 Upgrade?

If so "what" told you to delete files and/or do you mean you are doing a clean boot?

You need to let us know exactly what error messages you are getting because there are many and each requires a different action.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

A couple of things I have learned about upgrading to Windows 10:
Do a manual Windows Update and accept all recommended updates.
Repeat Windows update to make sure that you have everything up-to-date.
Restart the machine.
Make sure that you are logged to your admin account if you have more than one account. It will fail from a user account even if you approve the 'install' with the admin password.
If it is a laptop, make sure that you have a full charge and it is plugged in as well.
If the regular upgrade failed, go to this site and start the download and install from here:

Note that you should make sure that your hardware has Windows 10 drivers available for it. This may also include printers and all-in-one printers. Many older printers will be supported by default printing drivers that Windows 10 will install, but many older all-in-one printers will be supported only as printers and not for all of their functions. Similar applies to some other external peripherals as well as some internal components though not as many (depending on age).

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
