Specs: Windows 7, 2GB
i have newly installed windows 7, in my new pc. Problem is that while starting windows, when desktop screen appears, a number-one(1) appears which blinks for one time on my desktop screen in blue colour.
i'm completely unaware of this error. before this prob windows didn't start normally and a screen appears which comes on pressing F8 key and then then some error fixing windows opened which i skipped for later.
how do i fix this problem,i have done restore point but still not working?

if its a large #1 in the middle of the screen, it sounds like your machine is somehow set up with two screens, , once you have the machine running check the display settings, and see if you set your monitors for epand, display on 1/2 both see if that solves your issue.

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....

".....newly installed windows 7, in new pc...."
Did you install your drivers for your motherboard and video card????
If answer #1 does not help and installing your drivers does not help, consider reinstalling Windows 7 (use custom and full format to start clean). As soon as it is finished installing, install drivers, update Windows 7, then install antivirus program. Finally personalize and install your programs.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
