error 619 vpn

Specs: Windows 7
I am trying to establish a connection to my office so I can work from home. The connection has previously worked but today I keep getting error 619.
I am connecting to the internet and then to VPN. Sometimes it will let me on for a few minutes and then the connection will be lost. Othertimes (mostly) it is not letting me on at all and I get error 619 message.
I am using a vodafone usb stick to connect to the internet and my IT guy at work says this is the problem, but my internet connection is never lost so I dont understand how this could be the problem.
Can anyone help?

Suggestions are related to an Active Directory issue or simply set your wireless configuration to not automatically try to log you into the VPN client or your company's network.

I've tried everything.
Why does it sometimes connect me to the work server for a few minutes and then disconnect me?
