Solved epson xp 300 printing gibberish

Specs: Windows 7
everytime i try and print something the printer responds by countinualy printing gibberish until i power it off, what is going on? how can i fix this?

First try clearing the print jobs:
Control Panel > Devices and Printers. Right-click your printer name, select See what's printing, right-click each/any job that is showing, click Cancel, then click Yes.

You should also ensure that the connections are firm (remove them and put them back in again) and/or print directly from the computer if you are using wireless. The latter might tell us something.

EDIT: This would be better on the General Hardware forum. This area (The Lounge) is for very general stuff. I'll ask for it to be moved.

Another possible.

Try a different USB port, make sure it is a rear one if a PC.

And if none of those suggestions work, delete the printer, go to Epson's website and download the newest drivers they have for that model, then install those.
