Emachine netbook black screen after sleep

Specs: Windows 7 32 bit
Hi everyone,

I was the proud owner of an acer emachines em350, and yesterday I accidentally put the system to sleep (windows 7 ultimate 32 bit). As I couldn't wake it up, I forcibly turned off the device. Now, if I turn the computer on all I get is a black screen!! It won't even load the bios (as it seems) it just starts up, moves the fans and then stops working, although the power light is on and I can hear the computer is turned on. I already tried removing the battery. Any suggestions?

If it was a desktop I would say remove the hard drive and connect it up
to another computer as a slave and run Error Checking.
My search came up with your eMachine Netbook.
You may need to take it to a good repair shop.

Yeah this was my first idea, but unfortunately I'm not at home and my guest have a windows xp system, so I'm not sure if the latest system can be repaired by an elder one. Anyhow, what is this error checking you mentioned?

Windows 7 - 64 bit didn't come with the hookup for a slave so I ordered it.

Attach to another computer - Right click that drive.
Error Checking - Start - Computer - Right click - the Drive you installed.
Left click - Properties - Tools Tab - Error Checking Box - Check Now -
Put a check mark in both boxes - Click Start - Agree to the computer Restart.
