Solved DVD burner problem file copying

December 8, 2013 at 12:35:14
Specs: Windows 7, AMD Phenom II 3 GHz / 8 gigs
When I burn or copy a file to a DVD, any other files that I copied or burned at an earlier time no longer show up. I don't see them any more. It's as if all earlier files were deleted when I added this new one. When I check the properties for the DVD drive, the *Disk Space Used* is correct for the amount o files I have on the disk. Also when I attempt to add this older files to it, I am prompted that these files already exit, even though I can't see them.

I'm using the burner software that came with Windows 7 and I can't find settings anywhere to correct this. I've tried this with different disks (all DVD +R, because the DVD burner is DVD +R). This started a couple of days ago. This one has got me stumped and I would appreciate any help.

I take it you're using R/W disks? It sounds like the files became hidden. Here's how to enable the viewing of hidden files for windows 7:

That's good. I don't know why though that they become hidden in fhe first place.
