I have windows 7 installed and have already partitioned my hdd and installed windows xp. I had to use a repair disk to be able to reboot into windows 7( now functioning normally) but now cannot get XP to show on a boot menu. I see the folders installed on the partition, but don't know how to get it on a boot menu of some kind. Any help would be appreciated. Oh, easyBDC does not install fully on my system and won't load,( neither win7 or win xp )And I do not know how to use or even install grub. Thanks!
There should have been an option for dual boot when you repaired the Windows 7 boot file (start up repair). Run msconfig in Windows 7 and under the boot tab see if it lists your XP installation, if it does you should be able to get it to offer a selective boot up. Apply and restart. You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
I looked in msconfig as stated, but there is no entry for windows xp.
I assume it would be easier to reinstall xp and then update with the .net 2.0 framework and then try easybcd, THEN fix win7 bootloader?
