i have already loaded windows 7 in my pc...now i want to load windows xp as well as windows 7...
In windows 7 professional or ultimate you can install a virtual machine for XP called XP mode- http://www.microsoft.com/windows/vi... I am a hardware guy not a software guy but i try to help.
Here's what I would do. - completely wipe the HDD & start from scratch.
- repartition the drive so that you have at least 3 partitions (1 for XP, 1 for Win7, 1 for shared data storage)
- install XP 1st. If you have a SATA HDD, you will need to use one of 3 install methods (install SATA driver from floppy, change SATA setting to IDE, create new XP disc with SATA drivers slipstreamed in)
- after XP is installed & working properly, insert the Win7 disc, do NOT boot off it.
- wait for the popup menu then select Custom (advanced) & direct Win7 to install onto the 2nd partition.
