Specs: Windows 7 Professional 64, Dell 3 processor 8GB ram
I need to find a source for downloading Windows 7 64 bit device drivers for a SmartScan 3600 35mm Negative Slide scanner. the company is now out of businesses last known support for drivers was Windows XP 32 bit. The software still works but needs device drivers to function.

Even with compatibility mode it still requires device drivers, and I can get the software to run any way my problem is not having device driver support. I am looking for third party driver support as OEM is out of business.

last known support for drivers was Windows XP 32 bit. I assumed you had the drivers since you stated this info.

Yes I have the original disk that contained installation software and driver support for Windows 98SE, Millenium Edition & 20000. & XP Compatibility Mode has limited functionality a sit is an emulation operating under the Windows 7. And Windows 7 64 as doing the communications to USB devices and just passing intercoms to the XP emulation module. It will run only 32 bit applications and only some of those Only a certain class of CPU Chips will even run it period. It is a bridge product for selling. Windows 7 to commercial clients allowing support for some legacy applications until a planned migration can be accomplished foll 64 bit compatible applications.

Well, if the company no longer exists, it would be impossible to get the drivers as you already know. It sucks to have to bench good hardware, but there are no logical choices.Good Luck....
