Many Vista drivers won't work on Windows 7, just as many XP drivers wouldn't work on Vista when that was released.

Before doing a self-install of Windows 7 on to a PC which wasn't designed for it, it pays to download Microsoft's "Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor" tool to see what problems you are likely to encounter with your existing system.

And with an HP computer, you should also have checked their website to see if they have Windows 7 drivers for those who want to upgrade. I just checked - HP do not have Windows 7 drivers for your model.

That's a bad position to be in I'm afraid because HP drivers are usually custom made for them. As such, they are unlikely to be available anywhere else that will work properly.

There is another avenue to go down, check with the motherboard manufacturer. If they have Windows 7 drivers for your motherboard model they will not be custom made for HP but they might work (unless the whole motherboard is custom made for HP as well, in which case you will be really stuck).

Download Belarc Advisor from here and run it to get a full system information report. Your motherboard make/model will be on it, near the top.
